Mike Enriquez: National Historical Commission of the Philippines, Charice was the best singer who sang the national anthem in all of Pacquiao's fight. Pia Arcangel is watching.
Pia Arcangel: No sign of trademark high note with the Pinay international singing sensation Charice while singing the "Lupang Hinirang" (Chosen Land) yesterday in Pacquiao-Mosley fight. Charice singing was simple, speed of the tempo was timing and suited on the original composition of Julián Felipe, that's why the National Historical Commission of the Philippines or (NHCP) was very happy with Charice.
Ludovico Badoy: I have no doubt that she will.. she will do it ah.. properly in singing our national anthem and last Sunday we all saw it, we all heard it, she sang perfectly.
Pia Arcangel: They (NHCP) are so happy, they prepare a compliment and thank you letter for Charice. Distinct and should be praised of her rendtion in singing the "Lupang Hinirang", compared to others who sang with high notes, NHCP also wrote a letter to Congressman Manny Pacquiao to congratulate for his victory and for choosing Charice.
Ludovico Badoy: Deserved to emulate, there's a law on this and a we should follow our law.
Pia Arcangel: But NHCP is not surprised for Charice by singing it correctly and beautifully. This was already the rendition of the Pinay singing sensaion in the inauguration of President Noynoy Aquino last year, the same year Charice herself volunteer to asked for advice from the NHCP to rightfully sing the "Lupang Hinirang" and because Charice already got the tempo, NHCP wants Charice rendition to show it to different schools in the Philippines to be followed.
Teddy Atienza: In our observation this is the most beautiful and this should be imitate and followed especially our students who are studying, inluding those singers who will still sing in the international fights.
Pia Arcangel: NHCP is hoping in Manny Pacquiao's next fight Charice will be the basis who ever is chosen to sing "Lupang Hinirang."
NHCP just said it, Charice so far the best singer and best rendition compared to the previous singers who sang "Lupang Hinirang" (Philippine National Anthem) in all of Pacquiao's fights. Singers who sang the anthem incorrectly was almost been filed a case, however NHCP told them to apologize instead for their mistakes. The law for singing the Philippine national anthem in the right tempo was not strong enough to imprisoned singers who have sung it on their own ways. In NHCPs observation, this was the most beautiful rendition they have ever heard and they are not surprised since they've seen her sang it in the same tempo at inauguration on President Noynoy Aquino.
Charice admitted in ABS-CBN news that she was criticized twice in singing the Philippine National Anthem because she also changed the tempo before, following her trademark being a belter in singing. Now Charice already knew what's the right thing to do, NHCP commented that her renditon will now be the basis in singing the national anthem.
